KTWR Station on Guam Survives Typhoon

TWR staff members and their families on the island of Guam are safe and the ministry's transmitter station is bruised but still working after Typhoon Dolphin swept across the Pacific island.
 
In fact, KTWR – the call letters assigned to the transmitter facility – is was running on generator power and a back-up water system. Tan, whose report to fellow TWR leaders was prepared in consultation with KTWR Chief Engineer Mike Sabin, said one of the site's antennas will require major repairs but damage to others was minor, allowing the working ones to carry the broadcast load for now.
