Jammu University to get community radio

The government on Friday approved the proposal for setting up of a Community Radio Station in the Jammu University. This Community Radio Station is aimed to bring out talents of the students and encouraging them to participate in the development process by spreading awareness about issues relating to health, environment, education, and other matters which relate to the welfare of the public at large, a government spokesman said here. The proposed Community Radio Station is expected to provide coverage from Bari Brahmana to Bantalab and Chatha to Nagrota.
