'Fishy' frequencies in the cockpit

KOLKATA: "And now, the recipe to make the most popular Bengali dish, 'bhapa ilish'," a sonorous voice wafted into the captain's headphone.

"Is this a joke?" the commander steering the Airbus A-320 aircraft with 200 people on board barked into the microphone. At the other end of the line, the controller was surprised. He hadn't cracked a joke. The mystery remained unsolved.
