CRI Urdu service celebrtaes 45th anniversary

BEIJING, AUG 1 (APP): China Radio International (CRI) Urdu service is a bridge of friendship between Pakistan and China, said Ambassador Masood Khan here Monday.Addressing a grand reception to mark the 45th anniversary of the launch of CRI Urdu Service as well as the starting of the construction of Karakoram Highway in 1966, Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khan said that the number of CRI listeners in Pakistan are growing with every passing day, especially with the start of its transmission on FM. He said at present CRI is airing its programmes from five major cities of Pakistan on FM 93. These include Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Kohat. Through its Internet service, the CRI programmes can also be listened as far as Bangladesh and India.
